Agnieszka Radwanska Biography
Agnieszka Radwanska (full name Agnieszka Roma Radwanska) was born on March 6, 1989 in Krakow, Poland. She is a professional tennis player.
Biography and Career :
One year after becoming a professional tennis player she participated at her first tournament. It was happening in Warsaw and she managed to play the quarter-finals. by beating Anastasia Myskina and Klara Koukalova, but unfortunately, Elena Dementieva stopped her from passing further. As a single junior player she won the Wibbledon and Roland Garros, the first one in 2005 and the second in 2006.
In 2006 she participated as a professional player at Wimbledon where reached the fourth round, but was then eliminated by Kim Clijsters and at US Open where managed to play the second round and stopped there because she lost to Tatiana Golovin.
In October 2006 she played at the tournament in Luxembourg and was one of the semi-finalists after defeating important names in tennis like Elena Dementieva, Mara Santangelo or Venus Williams. She lost the semi-final to Francesca Schiavone. At the Australian Open she played in 2007 and reached the second round.
Until now (2007) she won two ITF single titles, one WTA doubles title and two ITF doubles titles. The WTA doubles title was won in Istambul and her partner was her sister, Urszula Radwanska. In July 2007 she occupied the highest position for her in Top 100 until then, the thirty-third position.
